Mr. Chia Liang Lian joined Western Asset in 2011 as Head of Investment Management, Asia (ex-Japan), based in Singapore. Formerly, he served as Head of Emerging Asia Portfolio Management at Pacific Investment Management Company. He previously worked as Sovereign Credit Analyst, Emerging Markets Research at both JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch, and as a Senior Economist at the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Mr. Lian, who holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, received a Bachelor of Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore.
