Ken Leech is Chief Investment Officer of Western Asset, one of the world’s leading investment management firms. As of 31 March 2014, Western Asset manages US$468.7 billion of fixed-income assets. The firm is headquartered in Pasadena and has offices in New Yrk, sao Paulo, London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Melbourne. He joined Western Asset in 1990. In his four years at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, Ken obtained three degrees while graduating summa cum laude. Since them, his 37-year money-management career has emphasized fixed-income strategy and interest rate analysis. From 2002-2004, he served as member of the US Treasury Borrowing committee. Mr. Leech and Western Asset were named Morningstar’s Fixed-Income Fund Manager of the Year in 2004, and one of four finalists in 2003 and 2006. Mr Leech was named to the Fixed-Income Analysts Society’s (FIASI) Hall of Fame in 2007.
