State Street Corporation announced two appointments to base in Hong Kong. Mark England is named senior vice president, and head of Asset Manager Sector Sales for Asia and Colin Zhong to head Global Markets Sales & Trading and Research for the Asia Pacific region.
England will be assuming the role from Paul Khoury, senior vice president, who now heads State Street’s Global Services for Australia and New Zealand. England would be responsible for the company’s sales strategy for the asset management sector in the region. He would be reporting to Kevin Wong, head of Sector Solutions for Asia Pacific.
According to Wong, England will identify and develop integrated product and service solutions for our asset management clients in Asia.
Prior to joining State Street, England was head of Asset Manager Sales for the Investor Services Group at Citibank and has 17 years of industry experience holding different positions in Americas, Asia and Europe.
As part of the Asia strategy, the company has also appointed Zhong to develop and implement a regional strategy for the Sales & Trading and Research business. Prior to joining State Street, Zhong held senior roles at UBS and Deutsche, specializing in currency and fixed income rates products in locations including Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and New York.
State Street covers more than 100 geographic markets and is looking to accelerate its growth in APAC. As of 30 June, the company has US$ 28.7 trillion in assets under custody and administration and US$ 2.4 trillion in assets under management. BM
